Choice of Skin Booster - Profhilo, Sunekos and Jalupro

The aesthetics market is developing fast.  While Profhilo is one of the most popular skin boosting treatments available, other products are now available and proving to be just as effective.  At Sanctuary Skin Clinic we are fully trained and insured in all of the skin boosting products we offer - training on each one individually to ensure we know how best to use these wonderful skin drinks to give the best results for clients.  Each product has their own unique properties - e.g., concentration of hyaluronic acid, volume of hyaluronic acid, addition of amino acids & peptides etc...  For example we believe Profhilo, Sunkos 1200 or Jalupro HMW is best for overall face treatment whereas Sunekos 200 or Jalupro Classic is best for under and around the eyes and other detailed areas due to the delicate nature of this area.  Choice of skin booster will be discussed at full medical consultation.

Skin Boosting injections can be used in a number of places on the face and body, including:

• Full Face
• Neck
• Under and around eyes
• Lip and Chin
• Décolletage
• Body - Hands, elbows etc.

How are the injections administered?

For skin boosting injections, we utilise either mesotherapy style injections to deliver directly to the dermis, either in injections as a bolus or papules / micro injections.  We use Profhilo in a 10 point BAP face technique as per the manufacturer recommended treatment for optimum results.

An anaesthetic numbing cream can be applied prior to injection for greater comfort, and our clients report very good tolerance of the treatment.

Depending on results desired, the injections should be repeated in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.  Profhilo is typically 2 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart, whereas Sunekos 200 or Jalupro Classic is a course of 3-4 treatments spaced 10 days - 2 weeks apart.  Following the initial course, maintenance is recommended after 4-6 months or whenever desired for skin boosting.

It’s perfectly normal to experience some level of redness, swelling, tenderness and skin irritation in the area treated for 1-2 days

How quickly will you see results from Skin Boosting?

Results from skin boosting develop fairly quickly. Often clients report a beautiful glow, plumping, hydration and radiance after just a few days, with a reduction in fine lines, wrinkles and crepey skin in 1-2 weeks. This result continues to develop with the stimulation of your own natural hyaluronic acid and collagen production leading to improved skin tone, texture and overall natural radiance. Whilst this treatment is best embedded into an overall skin care maintenance plan to achieve long lasting results, typically you can expect to see these improvements from skin boosting lasting between 3-6 months with further benefits on subsequent treatments and/or maintenance.
