Cavitation and RF Technology

What is Cavitation?

Both Cryolipolysis and Cavitation RF techniques have been shown by scientific studies to reduce fat and target specific areas for quality and tightening of the skin across both body and face, without surgery, without downtime and with no scarring or marks.  These are not treatments for general weight loss, however if you have areas that have been stubborn to diets and exercise or areas that would benefit from smoothing or tightening, then these treatments will be extremely effective, reliable and safe.  Often treatments are combined within a course for optimum results, however see seperate pages for specific treatment descriptions.

Cavitation is a skin treatment based on ultra-sonic waves. Low-frequency ultrasounds reduce fat depleting fat cells under the skin. A single session can remove up to 1 to 1.5 cm in body contour. Six to twelve sessions in localised areas may remove up to 12 cm. Cavitation, has become and proves to be the most effective treatment in reducing cellulite. Cavitation combined with RF treatments can also be used to target specific areas for quality and tightening of the skin across both body and face.  Cavitation is non-invasive and pain-free fat reduction treatment.  It is a true alternative to Lipo-Surgery as it avoids surgical operations and anaesthetics, which makes it risk-free.

Benefits of Cavitation

  • It’s a non-invasive treatment
  • Alternative to Lipo-Surgery and other invasive treatments
  • No anaesthesia required
  • Pain free treatment
  • It’s the most effective treatment for cellulite reduction
  • Reduces localised fat
  • No scars on your skin
  • No side effects

What are the basic differences between Cryolipolysis and Cavitation?

Cryolipolysis and cavitation have similarities as they both are non-invasive treatments against localised fat, have no side effects and the effectiveness of both treatments is based on the rupture of the membrane of the adipocyte in order to remove fat.

But what are the main differences between them?

- Fat reduction method: Cavitation uses ultrasounds whilst cryolipolysis operates with controlled low temperatures focused on the problematic area.

- Results:
Cavitation: results are perceived faster, but sometimes the effects are not as durable or definite.

- Cryolipolisis: Results may take longer to be achieved and generally are only noticeable about a month after the start of the treatment, but they are more stable and durable.

- Number of sessions: To get the same effects in the same area, cavitation requires a greater number of sessions compared to cryolipolysis.

Cavitation RF is widely recognized as one of the most effective, revolutionary, innovative cellulite and

liposculpture treatments available today. It allows the non-surgical

attack on inflexible fat deposits, as it targets and destroys

subcutaneous adipocytes, i.e. fat cells in the fat cell membranes

(adipose tissue), and guarantees inch loss from the very

first session

Many of us suffer from cellulite, skin laxity and localized fat.  Cavitation RF acts on localised fat deposits and it can even be applied to the most difficult and stubborn deposits of cellulite.

The term “Cavitation” refers to the destruction of fat cells with the method of “cavitation”. Ultrasound accurately targets fat and cellulite, transmitting powerful sound energy pulses into the fat, causing the destruction of adipose tissue (fat cell membrane), eventually leading to fat cell apoptosis (death). It is the ideal method for the treatment of accumulated localised fat in both men’s and women’s fat depots. Such areas include the abdomen, arms, lower back (waist), buttocks, thighs, knees and calves.

The term “RF” refers to “RadioFrequency”. Radiofrequency has been used for years in cosmetic dermatology. It uses energy to heat the deepest layers of tissue (dermis), reducing the size of the fat cell, promoting collagen and elastin production. The production of collagen and elastin increases the skin’s elasticity and firmness resulting in skin tightening and toning.

Therefore, the combination of Cavitation and RF therapy leads to lipolysis, skin tightening and cellulite reduction that often coexists.

The RF Cavitation beneficial effects can be applied on the body for the treatment of cellulite, lipolysis and skin tightening, as well as on the face, where RF in conjunction with Ultrasound leads to skin regeneration, rejuvenation and tightening.
